• Moissanite : is a rare, naturally occurring mineral made of silicon carbide that is almost exclusively grown in laboratories today for use as a highquality gemstone.
• Gold-plated and silver-plated : use a base metal like brass or stainless steel covered by a microscopic layer of real gold or silver. Despite their visual similarities, these two types of jewelry differ significantly in how long they last, the care they require, and their overall market value. 
• Artificial pearl

Tarnishing is a natural, surface-level chemical reaction that causes metals to lose their luster, dull, or change color. Unlike rust, which erodes and weakens iron, tarnish forms a thin self-limiting layer that actually protects the deeper, underlying metal from further damage. 

Keep your jewelry from tarnishing by following these three steps:

• Wear carefully: Put jewelry on after applying perfumes, lotions, and makeup.
• Store tightly: Keep items in airtight bags or lined boxes.
• Control moisture: Place silica packets or chalk in your storage areas. 

For Zirconia and moissanite:

Keep your cubic zirconia (CZ) sparkling by washing it regularly in lukewarm, soapy water(non- antibacterial, non- abrasive) and protecting it from lotions, oils, and harsh chemicals. Although it is quite durable (ranking 8–8.5/9.25 on the Mohs scale), it easily attracts grime that dulls its shine. Always store pieces separately to prevent scratches. 

For Gold/Silver Plated:

• Daily wipe: Rub gently with a dry, soft microfiber cloth after each wear to eliminate skin oils.
• Mild soap bath: Mix warm water with a few drops of gentle, non-detergent dish soap.
• Brief soak: Let unembellished pieces sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Avoid soaking pieces with glued-on gemstones.
• Soft detailing: Clean tight crevices with a soft-bristled toothbrush or a cotton swab.
• Thorough drying: Rinse thoroughly with clean water and pat completely dry with a lint-free towel. 

Artificial Pearls

• Daily Wipe: Rub gently with a dry microfiber cloth. This removes body oils and sweat.
• Damp Clean: Use a barely damp cotton ball for stubborn smudges. Do not soak the jewelry.
• Mild Soap: Mix one drop of gentle baby shampoo into lukewarm water if heavily soiled. Wipe with the suds, then wipe with clear water.
